
Last saturday was a really nice day for me. Went shooting with my buddies and lunch at this authentic japanese cuisine - FUKUYA .
kokwai invited me to join his fellow friends for lunch… a luxurious lunch. i have prepared myself with some cash. kokwai said, this time we must “豪出去”… i just nodded my head and agreed with him. okay.. let’s go!
me, hanyong and kok wai ordered the traditional japanese full course lunch menu - mini kaiseki. That’s included appetizer, some cold dishes, sashimi, tempura fried dish, soup, grilled dish, simmered dish, shokuji & dessert….
oooo~ i was too hungry..

meeting all new friends, hanyong (actually heard of his name many times, he was chris’s ex-colleague), weichiew (hanyong’s lovely wife), keikei and wind.

i think i will go the second time.
It is really a nice environment, minimal, quiet and very cozy japanese family home feel… i like this place.

i must mention kok wai’s name… my best buddy la.. alwiz “yik” me in special and cool things. i got this privilege card “taste matters” from westin hotel which i signed up (one shot signed up 2, one for myself and one for my darling) since the day i have quitted my job *no money to spend on good things, of course need more discount and free stuff to support what i wish* thanks kok wai.
so we invited wendy & alvin to join us, we went together in nice outfit coz usually we wear jeans and t. keke

firstly was some breads and butter
*surprisingly another complimentary of the day - salmon on cookies
secondly, a starter which i chose “refresh” - scallop in parchment and pepper confit
third was “renew” - crispy cod on soft polenta
then.. “personal” - hot chocolate & blue cheese fondant-vanilla ice cream
lastly.. we had a choice of house-roasted coffee or fine tea.
3 course cost rm98!!! and.. it is FREE for taste matters’ members.
so……hurry! go grab it now…
咖啡瘾

不知道从什么时候,把戒了很久的咖啡,又扯上关系。每一天一定要定时定候来一杯。问我什么咖啡最好喝?事实上我并没有研究。那一间的咖啡我最喜欢?当然的是 bakerzin,他们使用的 illy咖啡豆,个人觉得最好,再加上green tea cake *享受*
cappucino, 是我最常喝,就是喜欢它的泡沫沾在嘴唇的感觉好可爱。
我最不喜欢喝latte,因为我不喜欢牛奶的味道。
espresso, 我真的是一个百分百的华人,总觉得它太小杯,价钱又差不多一样,给你选,你也会选大杯的咯!*kiasu*
mocha也挺不错,它可以让你舒缓心情,因为它添加了一点快乐的元素 *chocolate*
coffee of the day (black coffee), 超懒惰的选择,不过也是最原味的选择。
ice blended coffee,我最喜欢的就是coffee bean 的ultimate。把咖啡豆一起blend,喝起来有些小小块的咖啡颗粒,超棒!
irish coffee, 是dada 最喜欢的咖啡,一点点的irish whiskey, 一点点的陶醉。
还有americano,cafe au lait, macchiato, white coffee………..
好吧,现在就来一杯咖啡配一个雨后的下午。

That’s a bit old story. we went to jogoya on 10th December 2007, there are 15 of us.. 99% from arachnid, ex or current. Very early we have booked for 20 ppl, but end up, 15 ppl shown up. They gave us this super big room called ‘ CREATIVE’.. what a co-incidence.
i remember last time me and yenc saying that we want to have a dessert restaurant called ‘crEATive‘.. haha….
A lot of food, sashimi my best.. and coconut drink my favourite, i drank 3. although we went there for supper, i filled up for more than the actual price (rm45++)… even for my breakfast next day. yummy!
i really have to control my diet, i see myself putting on weight… and spread horizontally, very scary.
keep fit keep fit - my new year’s resolution.

why? because i really look very happy….. usually i’m not.
