Earth Hour 2009

^ rabbit at capsquare ^
28th march 2009 was a big day for us to take this opportunity, to save the world and fight against global warming.
More than 4,000 cities were participated. malaysia is the first year to take part in this EARTH HOUR 2009. Petronas twin towers also participated in this lights off project to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. This supposed to be a very environmental friendly task for all of us, save electricity, recycle and …. go green. but unfortunately, by creating all the awareness, we had wasted more papers, cut more trees for the advertisement and banners around. when the lights were off, we all holding this paper cup with candle in it provided by the organiser, erm…. more papers. What’s the good thing after all? i can see most of the people quite supportive and really serious about it.
ermm.. hopefully next year will be better?
Back dated! i’ve been too busy on my work, now.. it’s time to blog again. The February’s Event.
This day, friday… on the 20th, if i’m not mistaken. Yenc has arranged this february chocolate fondue day, a birthdaysss gathering.
People who attended: yenc, jook, cheeheng, cliff, lay, eunice and of course the 3 pisces.
Besides chocolate fondue prepared by yenc, we had all kind of fruits (strawberry, kiwi, green apple, mango, grape, papaya, tomato, apple) to dip with, marsh mallow, 5 large dominos pizzas for FREE, thanks shyng (5 large pizzas for 9 pax, erm.. each of us got to eat at least half of the pizza), soft drinks, and a lovely birthday cake!
Thanks all~

^Shyng^ ^Jaemy^ ^Rabbit^ - we are the lovely pisces.
rabbit, “shyng… can i have that rabbit toy?” ” i can make new clothes for her”

yenc squeezed in.. hehe.. i was out of the frame.

It’s been quite a while didn’t actually meet cliff (稀客甲), he still the same. when karaoke?

^ lay (稀客乙) so funny with his specs on the mask. *V* some more.

i love all the photos… enhanced with the classic frame from shyng. photographer? guess who? ^

Shyng’s room full of props, we so enjoying playing with all these and taking photos, there are frames, umbrella, lamps, soft toys,….. and mask - a clone of my face. wat!!!?? similarity = 99%

hehe.. all of us squeezed in Jaemy’s room for group photo.
In the afternoon, after the street walking, we actually had plenty of time to visit around. Took a lot of photos in the papan house, then came to visit this.. one by one….

Here we reached to the bottom of the hill (time on my watch: 8+am), which we called this “Pasar”, the small little town, Sungai Lembing.
Street walking: Pasar Sungai Lembing
Hunger. now we heading to pasar for food. The weather was so nice, sunny, shinny day~ blue sky, white clouds… but hot & sweats, eeew….

see 3 of them… towels round their neck + holding DLSR, walking passed Java Street.

these were really early birds. My advice, please don’t walk underneath…

aivy and andrew look so professional.

Hardly to have 4 of us in the photo.

The next day.
When: woke up at 4 in the morning
What i did before the sunrise: took a cold bath (山水浴), brush my teeth, drank a cup of milo
What to bring?: 1. Torch light 2. towel 3. insect repellent 4. camera 5. a bottle of water 6. empty mind (as told by kokwai)
Morning walk: Panorama Hill
It was a jam. We didn’t expect that such a huge amount of people going up to the hill. Really *people mountain people sea (人山人海)*
It took me around 45 minutes - 1 hour to reach the peak. It is consider a pleasant walk way compare to Broga hill. It was still.. very dark.

kokwai was setting up his camera, early bird found their best spot for shooting.

testing.

*sweet*

never seen such an amazing sunrise before, just infront of me, so near and it was so warm and beautiful.

like painting~

now u can see how jammed it was. hehe… going down to the hill.
next stop… heading to pasar.
Another hiking + photography trip.
Where: Sungai Lembing (林明), Northwest of Kuantan Pahang
When: 7 - 9 March 2009
Who: 25 of us in this trip, including me, cheeheng, kokwai (the organiser), benchin, andrew, aivy, ah fai, sherrina, behn… and a lot more.
First visit: Gua Charas
we reached this cave right after our lunch at kuantan town. This is not as big as Gua Tempurung, but also quite tiring. coz rabbit seldom do exercise, hehe. *sweat*

on the way up to the cave. *woooow*

Scene looking out from the cave.

tree trunk inside the cave.

Actually nothing much there, a cave that last time they did some tin mining, and there is a sleeping buddha in it.
Second stop: Check in hotel (rumah kampung)
25 people squeezed into a single storey “bungalow”? with a sharing of 1 toilet+bathroom? erm… we were actually thinking, how many minutes should set for each to shower?
after we back from gua charas, the roof of the house was leaking everywhere, coz rain quite heavily after the cave visit. not more than an hour, kokwai has decided to rent another house and shift half to there… *we are the lucky one* hehe
here we reached the rumah papan.

cute little door… main entrance of the papan house. in this small little town, pretty safe, coz landlord “the auntie” actually didn’t provide us any lock or key for the house and rooms, we these city boys and gals were quite worried about this.. now i know we actually living in such an insecure life everyday. *i miss lembing…*

kokwai, benchin and ah fai stayed in this room. the lights were from our room. it’s just looks like my grandpa house at batu pahat. *i miss batu pahat..*

wow, found hen lay eggs here… so cool, this is the first time i saw the eggs that still laying on the “nest”. i have no idea why the chicken here so cincai, simply lay eggs, that’s actually on top of a stool or cupboard and lots of junks around. *bad mama*

at the back yard of the papan house. *happy* - this photo taken from kokwai
to be continue…
